Swan's Garage

Swan's Garage is an automotive service and repair shop located in Ottawa, Ontario. This local garage had looked to revitalize its online and market presence through our web, print and marketing services.

Cathartic Design was contracted to design and develop a new web site along with creating a marketing campaign which consisted of flyer advertising and the implementation of a customer loyalty program.

The flyers were designed using spot color in order to remain cost effective, while the "Auto Service Program" loyalty card was designed in full colour to advertise itself more effectively at the point of sale.

Swan's new website is the perfect medium to strengthen the garage's local image and appeal. The design reinforces the business's logo, while personalizing visitors with the friendly staff and the services that they offer.

Along with laying out the garage's services and guiding principles, this website advertises weekly and monthly promotions which are dynamically created through a content-management system (CMS) created by Cathartic Design. This CMS not only allows Swan's Garage to change the content of their website but actually gives them the ability to directly market themselves to their online visitors.

Nature Canada

Nature Canada (NC) is a member-based non-profit conservation organization. Their network includes 40,000 supporters and more than 350 naturalist organizations across Canada. NC raises awareness of environmental issues around the world and those which directly impact Canadians. Not only is Cathartic Design a great supporter of this charitable organization, but is one of their chief media providers.

NC has sought Cathartic Design's expertise in design and development for many of their charitable endeavours. The websites listed in this section represent different charitable campaigns which Cathartic Design has been fortunate enough to be involved with. They seek to both inform visitors about important environment issues, while prompting them to help Nature Canada through online donations.

Cathartic Design has also been contracted to update content on NC's main website, along with helping the charity deal with any technical difficulties they encounter.

Nocturnal Lifestylz

Nocturnal Lifestylz was one of Cathartic Design's first clients, they were a promotional company, who organized special events in Ottawa/Gatineau night clubs. In order to advertise these events, Nocurnal Lifestylz contracted us to design event flyers and posters. These designs were distributed around University and College campuses around the city.

The Anything Guys

The Anything Guys (or TAG) are a group of local students who formed a buisness which takes on a variety of landscaping and home improvement jobs for Ottawa homeowners and contractors.

In order to get the word out about their new business and the services that they offer, TAG chose to create and distribute a spring flyer. The flyer was double sided and printed in full colour in order to maximize its impact and maintain their professional brand identity which is mirrored on their web site, www.tagottawa.ca. This flyer helped establish TAGs presence in their local community and ensure a successful spring season..

FICS

FICS is a food inventory company who sought a simple and clean logo for their business. Cathartic Design also developed buisness cards and letterheads which included the new logo.
